Connect multiple CO lines . . . and get
one common output whenever one of the lines is ringing
The Models 173 and 175, Common Ringer Matrices,
allow for connecting multiple Central Office (CO) lines together
to provide one common output whenever one of the lines ring.
These units eliminate the necessity of providing one bell
for each incoming CO line. The Model 173 will accommodate
three CO lines and the Model 175 will handle seven CO lines.
Screw terminals allow simple bridge tap connections to the
incoming CO lines.
Both units are easy to install. Screw terminals
allow simple bridge tap connections to the incoming CO lines.
With no external power required, just about any common audible
device (tip and ring powered ringer) will work.
Both units provide a choice of two outputs,
standard ringing voltage or contact closure. Also, both models
offer special features that allow for multiple unit connections,
i.e., expanding beyond three or seven CO lines. Units can
be ganged together to accommodate additional CO lines. They
also have an auxiliary dry relay contact for operating ancillary
equipment, i.e., through the use of a power supply connected
to the optional contact closure, a 24 VDC alert signal can
be driven.
The Model 175 offers the increased flexibility
of being able to group CO lines into two different groups
(zones), a three line group and a four line group, for special
applications.
Application
The perfect solution for organizations that require common
audible or night bells. Economize on the cost of installing
one bell for each line. The Model 173 and 175 allow you to
connect all your lines to one bell. Make sure calls are heard
when your receptionist goes home. In loud industrial areas,
combine with Dees’ Model 196, Loud Industrial Ringer.
Use the dry relay contacts to operate auxiliary equipment.
For example, through the use of a power supply connected
to the optional contact closure, you can drive a 24 VDC lamp.
This application would be suitable for locations that require
visible rather than audible notification of a call, such
as recording studios, nurses stations, or the hard of hearing.
Features
– Multiple line grouping (zone
signaling)
– No external power required
– Units can be ganged together for greater line capacity
– Auxiliary relay contacts available
